Just shoot near the pocket?

For the last 2, 2 and a half years, I've been playing pool in a league.  You'd think that I would be good by this point - I play once a week, sometimes more if I feel inclined to practice.  And, you'd be right to some extent -- I have gotten a bit better...  So, it's really nice after a long day at work to go play and play well (and have a few beers :)).  But on a night like tonight, when I'm tired and still not 100% after being sick over the weekend, being in a smokey bar is the last place you want to be.  Particularly playing really bad pool.  Tonight just reinfored that shooting on a warped table is a bit easier once you're a bit warped too ;-)

Down With Disease

Woke up on Saturday all achey and with my throat hurting and it's not really gotten any better...  Looking at the back of my throat shows some weird white bumps.  Can anyone say strep?

Why don't these things happen when it's crappy weather out?  It's so nice that all I want to do is go outside and play -- but at least it's given my time to finally get this site up.  There are two parts to it: this blog, and then the photo gallery.  I was going to write some very simple (i.e. crappy) webpages instead of the blog, and had been intending on writing the gallery software to teach myself C#/asp.net/etc.  Finally, I ended up just installing DotText for the blog, and gallery for the photos.  I still intend on going back and writing something for the photos, but realistically, it's not going to happen soon.  There's a bunch of things I'd like to do to the condo, and they'll probably come first.
