I finally got around to going through the pictures from our trip to Ireland and Italy this Summer and adding a bunch of them to online gallery... A big part of this was that I was trying out some categorization/classification stuff that Lightroom lets you do. Going through these was also an illustration of a couple of things:
- it's very difficult to choose your favorite 50 or so photos out of ~1200 :)
- if you use a camera that shoots in RAW then you should choose that whenever possible... There are actually a couple of shots that ended up online where I originally thought that the shot was blown - when I corrected the white balance and tweaked the rest of the exposure/tone it turned out very nicely!

Now that I've done this for this most recent trip, it's time to go back through the rest of the pictures in the library and edit and upload some of the best ones that haven't made it online yet. That should be a good task for the next few months now that the sun goes down before 5pm :)
